Friday July 9, 2010: Arrival and Soweto tour
Transfer to the hotel, and check-in. The recreational facility in the football village can be used for relaxation after the flight: squash, fitness or wellness.

Included in the stay in Johannesburg is a guided tour of Soweto, the best-known township in the country. Soweto stands as symbol of the fight against apartheid. Points of interest on the tour are among others the Hector Pieterson Memorial, the Regina Mundi Church and Vilakazi Street. This is where the Nobel Prize winners Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu lived.

World Cup ContestSaturday July 10, 2010: Animal preserve Kwalata and party
Included on the itinerary is a safari in Kwalata nature preserve. During the game drive it will be possible to observe members of the BIG FIVE as well as zebras, giraffes, impalas, and many other wild animals. After lunch the tour will take you through the nearby Nelson Mandela Village and will offer insight into the life of the local people. Visits to a traditional house and a medicine man round off the tour.

In the evening a football party is planned in the football village. Prominent football experts will offer expert reviews of the tournament and the pending final. The mood will be set with live music and excellent entertainment for the outcome of the World Cup.

The morning is available for free time. Possibilities for you to take advantage of are e.g. a trip to the museum village Gold Reef City with one of the worldwide deepest and largest goldmines. The building, from the times around 1890, and the employees dressed in clothes of the period, remind one of the gold digger times.

And gold is what it is all about beginning at 8:30 p.m. in the Soccer City stadium. At last the outcome will be decided of who, as world champion, will be permitted to take home the trophy made of 18 carat gold.
