Your products should not only be packed professionally and safely, the packaging should also follow the style and colour scheme of your products. But how are you going to fill those bigger spaces and how can they be divided into sections?

We have three suggestions for you to be inspired and find the answer to this question. The range of our packaging is wide: we have Postal boxes and Folding boxes to offer, Pillow boxes for gifts, Gable boxes, Telescope boxes, Sleeve boxes, Cardboard envelopes and Wine boxes.

Packaging design idea #1: Wine bottles for a safe protection

The packaging of a wine bottle should reflect its content perfectly. Here, the label, the background colour and its design elements can be seen. Please note that only the bigger spaces make the design.

Minimalistic approach

A discreet implementation – so rather minimalistic – is the safe way. The front was filled here with a background colour , then the logo was placed in the upper third. The design element can be placed at the top, as a smaller font can also be used to show information. Thus the viewer’s eyes are not distracted. The lines were filled with a bright beige tone .

Designed bottle

Of course, you can show the content directly onto the packaging as a design. To make such a bottle, it takes only one side, which is then mirrored. Use the pen tool you can find in the tool mode “form” (instead of path or pixels). Then draw the bottleneck click by click. For the shape of the bottle, hold the mouse button and move to create a nice curve. Then it’s back straight down to create a bottle base.

Once this side is complete copy it over with Ctrl + J . Edit + Transform + Flip Horizontal will create the mirroring, after you’ve used the Move Tool to copy your initial design. Both sides can bear slightly different colours. The colours can be changed by double-clicking on the layer thumbnail.

Vector design of the bottle

Go there for a stylish packaging. Then draw a label on this long bottle design as well as a little bit of red wine foaming from the bottle’s tip. This colour will attract everyone’s attention without a doubt.

Packaging design idea #2: The Packaging for small gifts and smaller products

Textures help set a theme. If your product is organic, why not using fabrics, papers or wooden textures as a packaging background? Here we chose to show the texture of a rough paper structure on which the logo of the product was incorporated. Other products might require a more glossy finish in bright colours.

A great example

You can use the Path Tool to create great subdivisions. In the options bar, „form“ should be enabled. Click first on your document followed by a second one in which the mouse button will be held down. Now, you can create your first curve. The second curve is a little bit more distant compared to the first one. Thus the larger area is divided into two areas. In the upper section, a logo is to be positioned on this Pillow box.

Photo as a basis

Managing the implementation of elements is simple, if it is to match a theme (see picture). For example, a font fits for Mother’s day with flowers or a gift ribbon to represent a present given.

Packaging design idea #2: Goody Bag

A Gable box has a thousand uses. The most famous is probably the so-called Goody Bag code: An ideal opportunity to propose good offers whilst you hand out a bag. Therefore, in this picture, you can see the collar of a shirt with a tie that makes for an elegant garment.

Opposites

Make sure that your creative ideas stay related to your content. Here this is about an elegant fashion product. The contrast between the large black and white photograph and the red background of the logo is designed to be eye-catching.
