Robust material - suitable for the application
All tarpaulins from print24.com are weatherproof and so robust that they can withstand wind and weather for a longer period of time. They are all made of a vinyl fabric.
- PVC tarpaulin: This material has proven itself many times in practice and is particularly strong with a density of 500 gsm. The surface is not only weatherproof, but also tensile, tear and scratch resistant, making it ideal for use on construction sites.
- Mesh tarpaulin: If you choose the 300 gsm mesh fabric, your tarpaulins will be lighter and "softer". Nevertheless, you do not have to do without stability and resistance. Due to the very small holes in the fabric, these products generate a lower wind load. Mesh tarpaulins are therefore particularly recommended for very large advertising tarpaulins.
- Blockout tarpaulin: With a density of 800 gsm, block-out materials are extremely robust. At the same time, these tarpaulins offer the advantage that both the front and back sides can be used for printing. A black barrier layer is inserted between two PVC layers, making the material opaque and light-proof. At the same time, the fabric is UV-stable and does not become brittle when exposed to strong sunlight.
Note: All our tarpaulins can be welded or fixed with eyelets.
Info: Perfect fire protection for use in public buildings or on public surfaces
All print24.com tarpaulins meet the strict fire protection requirements of the B1 certificate. They are therefore flame-retardant and self-extinguishing according to DIN 4102-1. By using our mesh, PVC or block-out tarpaulins, they meet the fire protection requirements for textile advertising spaces.
For added reliability – with B1 certification
If you have your banners printed on using print24.com, you’ll be on the safe side when it comes to fire protection. The light mesh, as well as the thicker PVC-tarpaulin and the blockout banner are DIN 4102-1-certified in construction material category B1. Our banners are therefore not only flame-resistant, but also suitable for use on and in public buildings, since the B1 classification for textile advertising spaces is required by law here.
But what exactly does “flame-resistant” mean? It means that, while B1-certified banners can catch fire, the flames extinguish themselves and do not continue to burn. You can use promotional banners by print24.com without hesitation at schools, public authorities or offices, because they all have the required certification!
We offer top-class promotional banners. You can choose between hem stitching on the left and right side or upper and lower side or a reinforced edge all around. They have either 12-inch eyelets every 500 millimetres or just in the corners for fastening, enabling the advertising materials to remain firmly in place wherever they hang. If you still have questions about fastening or customised formats, simply call our service hotline!
Tip: We need a bleed of 60 mm for tarpaulins with hem stitching. Please consult the product's fact sheet for more information.
For optimum results – our printing inks
Whether it be flyers, promotional flags or roll-up banners, we only use high-quality inks on our prints. Because that’s the only way to ensure you’ll be satisfied with the end result. We also use selected inks when printing on your banners, and complete your orders using the CMYK four-colour printing process. Mesh- and PVC-tarpaulins can be printed one-sided (4/0 coloured), while blockout banners can additionally printed on both sides (4/4 coloured).
Printed tarpaulins - affordable and fast delivery
Especially easy on the material is the transport of the printed tarps rolled on a cardboard core. This delivery method is only available for the robust PVC- and blockout banners. In addition we also offer the more affordable type of shipment in folded format. This can lead in exceptional cases to pressure marks on the tarpaulins.

Practical accessories for mounting your tarps and banners
Order accessories with your printed tarpaulins, fitting to the purpose. Depending on the type of processing you have the choice between various mounting options for your PVC-tarps.
- Banner mounting
This is a classical mounting option for tarpaulins with hemstitching. Attach your advertising banners to the wall or stretch it between two construction hoardings. This banner option includes a banner pole and two expander hooks. You can order up to two banner mountings per tarp.
- Cable ties
Robust cable ties are the simplest version to attach your banner with eyelets to something. If you choose this accessory, you receive 100 transparent cable ties that are 200 mm long and 4,6 mm wide.
- Eyelet clamps
If you just choose cutting as a processing option, then you can add a set of 4 or 8 clip-on eyelets in black or white to your order for a small surcharge. These plastic clamps have a tensile strength of up to 45 kg. They also have a 9 mm hole for fastening.
- Fastening loops
High quality fastening loops are available in sets of 4, 8, 10, 12 or 16 for tarps with eyelets. They are black, 180 mm long and the rubber strap has a diameter of 6 mm. These flexible loops with steel hooks are perfect to stretch your PVC-banner inside a frame.
- Eyelet clamps & fastening loops
Our practical eyelets clamps in sets of 4 or 8 are also available in combination with fastening loops. The loops with clamps have a length of 220 mm and a diameter of 4 mm.
Preview your banners – with screenproofs
It’s always good to know what to expect. That’s why we also offer you the option of a screenproof when printing your banner. You can request this directly via the configuration menu. We will then create a digital preview of your print, and email this to you in a resolution of 150 dpi. If you’re satisfied with the result, you can start up the printing order for your promotional banners. But please note that screenproofs are not true-colour, so the colours of the final print product may differ.
FAQ for the product tarpaulin/banner
1. Which material is air-permeable and wind resistant for tarpaulins and banners?
2. Which tarpaulin is suitable as a scaffold banner?
That depends on the scaffolding used. In general, a hem with a width of 6 cm is sufficient for smaller scaffolds. For larger scaffolds, a hem width of 10 cm is recommended.
3. when should I choose a PVC tarpaulin and when should I use a mesh tarpaulin?
Both materials are ideally suited for outdoor use. A PVC tarpaulin is more stable compared to mesh, but also heavier. The mesh tarpaulin is recommended for use on scaffolds or construction site hoardings that are particularly exposed to high winds due to its air permeability.
4. How can I secure the tarpaulins?
This depends on the selected processing. Our tarpaulins/banners are cut to the desired size and can be ordered with eyelets, optionally with reinforced edges or with a 6 cm hemstitch (top/bottom or left/right). Tarpaulins with eyelets can be fixed with cable ties or tension loops. Tarpaulins with a hemstitch are either fastened directly to the scaffold pole. If only the edge of the banner has been reinforced, clamping eyes are used for fastening. These can be clamped variably to the tarpaulins and then fastened to the railing, for example, using tension loops, which are also available as accessories.
5. What is the difference between PVC tarpaulin and blockout tarpaulin?
In contrast to the PVC tarpaulin, block-out is stronger and has a black barrier layer between both sides of the tarpaulin, which enables 2-sided printing.
6. What is the safety range for the eyelets?
The manufacturer recommends a safety distance of at least 5 cm from the edge of the tarps.
7. How can the tarpaulins be cleaned?
You can wash dirty tarpaulins with a water hose or wipe with a damp cloth. For difficult dirt, the manufacturer recommends using a mild detergent that does not attack the colours.
8. Is mesh fabric machine washable?
9. How should tarpaulins be stored?
Tarpaulins should always be stored rolled. If tarpaulins are folded, unattractive cracks appear which are difficult to stretch. Furthermore, the colour often becomes brittle in such places.
10. What material are the eyelets on the tarpaulins made of?
The tarpaulins are provided with plastic eyelets.
