This is part I of our portfolio inspiration series and showcases some great examples. In part II we will give you valuable tips on planning and designing your own portfolio.

When you decide to pursue a career in design you need to establish a portfolio of your creations. The earlier you start, the better. Yet, just creating a portfolio isn’t doing you much good either. You need a platform to display your work to the world. Your audience  includes potential employers, clients or people who share similar interests. The easiest way to do so is the world wide web. The options are manifold: Your own website, Slideshare or its likes, a Facebook Page, an artist page in a community.

People will judge you mostly on the work you’ve done already. As a designer you also have to pay some considerable attention to the presentation of your work as this a large part of your later job: presenting something to an audience. In this article we present you a rich selection of great artist portfolios on the web. They are intented as a source of inspiration and a showcase of the almost endless possibilities to present at its best what you do best. Enjoy!
