Helps you to avoid fountains
Well, how often have you stumbled or ran into something! while hacking some text in your mobile device? Touchscreen displays are nice, fancy and allow for a lot. Blind typing, however, became something of an art with their introduction. It became a stereotype phrase but yes, there’s an app for that. Many of them. This week we introduce Textvision, an app which helps you avoid fountains and other obstacles.
Functionality is easily explained. It opens the camera and puts a typing layer on top of it. This allows you to watch your track while you walk. Putting aside the advertisements in this free version, this works fairly well and is actually fun to do. Proof: I didn’t ram anything while creating the screenshots.
In the lite version of Textvision you can only post to Facebook and Twitter. The developers, however, were nice enough to include a one-click-copy function. So you can still use the app to type a short message or Email.
The full version also allows direct text messaging and includes all necessary fields to send a short message. I included two screenshots from iTunes for your benefit.
Altogether it’s a fun little app which may help you avoid bruises and embarrassment. But please: This is NOT SAFE FOR DRIVING! Just in case you didn’t know.
