Discovr is a nice gimmick for all the music-addicted amongst us who are constantly searching for new artists and bands. Presented in an outstanding interface this app shows relations between different artists with a single click. Type the name of your favourite artist and start your musical expedition. Doing so makes a whole bunch of new and similar artists appear.

Click further and the artistic network expands while connections are made.
Discov(e)red an interesting music act? Double-click it to get all the details like biography, other songs, video clips or reviews.
What really makes this app a delight is the unique way of relating artists and extensive feature information all in one. While database size and information matter such an app for iPhone and iPad stands or falls with the visual design of the interface. Discovr is a master of both. After entering a few rather unknown artists I was not only surprised to find any connections at all but got overwhelmed by the extent and quality of those.
It’s a universal app working on iPhone, iPod Touch and ultimately the iPad, for which it is optimized. Once you saw the interface yourself you’ll understand why I say that this is a must-have for music loving iPad owners!
